Golf Holidays To The Indian Ocean
This part of our programme includes the beautiful and picturesque islands of the Seychelles and Mauritius, together with the outstanding much bigger island of Sri Lanka. Together with the addition of the Maldives, which opened up its first golf course in 2016-17 – a superb and dramatic nine-hole course on the island of Villingili. Here you can play golf on the most remote golf course in the world and stay in the stunning Shangri-La Villingili. Golf would be a secondary part to enjoy on your holiday here, but the scenery is absolutely superb.
Mauritius lies in the south west of the Indian Ocean, well south of the Seychelles. It is accessible from the UK, with two airlines offering a direct service from London Heathrow and Gatwick, whilst many people prefer to break the journey into two and stop-over in Dubai. Mauritius can be combined also with Cape Town, as a two centre destination, as another alternative.
The island is our biggest golfing venue, with 9 resorts featured, all with golf courses adjacent. The beauty with Mauritius is that most of the resorts offer free golf in the room rates! The climate is very good year-round, with the peak months running from November to March. No long haul venue beats the all-round quality and value for money than Mauritius!
The Seychelles must be amongst the most outstanding islands of the world, their topography, nature and coastlines simply take the breath away. Our featured resort of Constance Lemuria is a true paradise venue, on the island of Praslin, offering golf on their own stunning course, Lemuria.
